Reconnaissances is an art film in French, Italian and German. It revolves around the idea of landscape, taken both as an internal and external phenomenon. It is also an exploration of the relationships between speech and image, portrait and landscape, nature and history, philosophy and poetry, and intertwines various media: film, speech, ceramics, painting. I studied art and art history (Goldsmiths, then Royal Academy, London), before doing philosophy (Fribourg). I am now a researcher at the University of Halle, and writing a thesis in philosophy between the Universities of Leipzig and Paris IV, while carrying on working on my art in Berlin. Film is for me a way to bring together the various aspects of my practice.
