Gjon Mili Residency Program

Gjon Mili International Video Art Festival

Residency Program 2027

An international residency dedicated to video art, short film, documentary, and experimental practices including VR, immersive art, moving image, expanded cinema, and new media, developed as part of the Gjon Mili International Video Art Festival.

May 1 – May 30, 2027 — Dhërmi, Albania

Inspired by the growing international presence of the Gjon Mili International Video Art Festival, the only festival of its kind in Albania, and its expanding network of artists, curators, and unconventional festival locations, the residency invites contemporary artists and experimental creators to develop works in dialogue with landscape, memory, architecture, and projection-based media within one of the most sought-after platforms of its kind in the region.

Albanian Riviera

Dhërmi Residency

A research and living period situated on the Albanian Riviera, surrounded by sea landscapes, abandoned architecture, and open-air environments. Artists are invited to develop ideas, research, or site-responsive works connected to the atmosphere of Dhërmi and the festival's curatorial vision.

Works developed during the residency will be presented during the festival program in Dhërmi in June 2027 through screenings, projections, or site-specific presentations.
