Director Statement
After decades of turmoil in Hong Kong and China, the political landscape has been tamed by powerful forces, transforming into a state of “peace.” Behind this stability, we explore perspectives at the border.
This is a creation sparked by curiosity about geopolitic. Borders are both everyday realities and subtly dramatic; they can be walls, the scars and folds on our bodies, or invisible lines. We are concerned with borders—how their tangible and intangible growth and decay affect individuals and groups, and how they shape identity.
