Gjon Mili Video Art Festival Continues in Dhërmi with Screenings, Installations and Artist Talks

Following the conclusion of its program in Korçë, the fourth edition of the Gjon Mili Video Art Festival continues in Dhërmi from June 18 to 20.

Festival events will take place daily from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. at several locations throughout the village, including the “Dormition of Saint Mary” Church Square, “Saint Demetrius” Church Square, the Zoe Hora Gallery, an abandoned house converted into an exhibition space, and several traditional village houses.

The program on June 18 begins at 4:00 p.m. with screenings of short films, documentaries, and video art works by artists from different countries. In the evening, Ervin Bërxolli’s installation Anabiosis will be presented, followed by a welcome cocktail and a special screening featuring works by Albanian and international filmmakers. The day will conclude with a live performance by Bledi Polena & Band.

On June 19, the festival continues with another selection of screenings, the installation Shadows Falling on Other People’s Houses by Ledia Kostandini, and an artist talk by Zef Paci. The evening program includes the documentary Dežo Hoffmann – Photographer of the Beatles, followed by a post-festival gathering at Saint Demetrius Church Square.

The Dhërmi program brings together artists from Albania and abroad, presenting short films, documentaries, installations, and video art projects over three days. The festival will continue on June 20 with additional screenings and artistic events.
