The residency is open to international and emerging artists working in video art, short film, documentary, experimental cinema, VR, immersive art, moving image, expanded cinema, and interdisciplinary media practices.

The residency runs for one month, from May 1 to May 30, 2027. During this period, artists will develop projects, participate in presentations and discussions, and prepare works to be presented during the Gjon Mili International Video Art Festival.

Yes. The application fee is $25 USD.

The 2027 residency takes place in Dhërmi on the Albanian Riviera.

Applicants should submit: Artist bio, CV / Resume, Portfolio or previous works, Short motivation letter or project proposal, Links to video works or screenings, Technical requirements (if needed).

Selected artists will be officially announced at the end of February 2027 through email notifications, the festival website, and social media platforms.

Yes. Selected artists will present their work during the Gjon Mili International Video Art Festival through screenings, exhibitions, projections, installations, or site-specific presentations depending on the nature of the project.
